Happy Equinox! Man-this is my favorite time of year. Autumn is my most looked forward to season, harvesting of food, amber toned daylight, and colorful leaves. The beauty of this season is remarkable.
It makes sense that the Autumnal Equinox, a day that is equal Light and Dark would signify the impetus to Libra Season. Libra is the intelligence which governs the peaceful nature of Self in Relation to Other. What a beautiful and underrated trait in our modern culture! Please imagine what it would be like for a moment to walk in the shoes of another, to live life as if you have lived those experiences, to cultivate Understanding for someone who has drastically different philosophies than you do…Something to consider. I say this because I opened social media this morning and discovered a message in my inbox concerning the topic of “Voting”. And! Politics often bring about polarization. So? Let’s take a lesson from Libra and exercise Diplomacy in our interactions.
To assist in this Season’s Theme’s of Balance, Equilibrium, and CoHerence in our Relationships I am sharing some Astrological Guidance to the Axis of the 1st and 7th House. The 1st House being Your Journey to Self and the 7th House being Your Nature of Relationships.

If you are a Libra Rising Sign Your 7th House will be Aries. If you are an Aries Rising Sign your 7th House will be Libra. Get it? This is true for each of the 12 Zodiacal Signs.
They all exist on an Axis and they are always in conversation with each other.
This is a general overview. Each birth chart is highly unique. Planets within the first or seventh house add another ingredient for the recipe that constitutes your relational life. For example: An individual who has Uranus in Capricorn in the 7th House. (Hard Working Capricorn meets Eccentric Uranus).This individual would perhaps have deep commitment towards their partner and friendships along with holding traditional family values and yet also be drawn to unconventional, unique, and forward thinking individuals-adding some eccentricity to one’s relational life. A planet in a house is simply an added dimension to one’s area of life.
Some helpful tips! Societal, Familial, and for some-Religious conditioning suggests a handful of ways in which “healthy” partnership takes place-but perhaps you require something very different? This is the beauty of astrology. Sometimes you need something different to “wet your whistle”.
Like any astrological intelligence, there is conscious expression and unconscious expression.
Conscious or Healthy expression is listed first, while Unhealthy/Unconscious expression is listed second. What I mean by that is-it is not “good” or “bad” but rather a guide to be mindful of the vast range of expression we can exist within one Astrological Energy. We are always moving through this range of expression.
Pisces/Virgo
Presenting as gentle, sweet, kind, empathetic, soulful, spiritual, artistic, creative, intuitive, highly influenced. Because of your mild manner, your ability to “go with the flow” so well-boundary and parameter issues in relationship can occasionally manifest. Be mindful of the company you keep as it can be challenging to differentiate the border between yourself and other. Sensitivity to people and places is common. Create quiet time for you and you alone to reconnect with who you truly are. Ask on occasion if the people in your inner circle are conducive to the expression you would like to embody and radiate into the world.
Relationships that have an element of spirituality, soulfulness, and creativity will serve you best. Attraction to mystics, poets, artists, creators/creatives, musicians, writers, filmmakers. Ceremonies within partnership: having a fire, lighting candles, incense, experiencing plant medicines together, using ritual and spiritual technique within relationship. Pisces is that blissful state one experiences in altered states of consciousness and Virgo is the attainment of perfection in the 3 dimensional human reality. Pisces and Virgo have a “non-attachment” expression as well so experiencing freedom within relationship matters as well. This type of freedom looks like: A Partner devoted to something they hold sacred: It could be anything. Someone that has an interest in something they feel “in service to”-A calling of some kind that they spend their time and attention with on a regular basis. And vice versa-this will work well for you too. Neptune entered Pisces in 2012 and has likely been adding some confusion and delusion around setting personal parameters and boundaries within the context of relationship. The cultivation of discernment in one’s social, romantic, and work life would be wise moving forward. Asking: Who am I? What are my Core Values? Does this partnership align with my Core Values? How do I Feel? How “influenced” am I by others or my environment?
Unconscious Expression: Martyrdom, blaming, excuses, complaining, codependency, enmeshment, escapism through consciousness altering substances (extreme use of alcohol and drugs), addiction.
Leo/Aquarius
Presenting as independent, unique, genius, brilliant, “marching to the beat of your own drum”, creative, avant gard, eccentric, no topic of conversation being off limits, unconventional, forward thinking, self governance, liberation, and revolutionary. Relationships that allow for Freedom and Independence is a necessity with this placement. Partner should be supportive of your Creative Expression- whatever that may be, Your creative Cause/Artistry. Your “Cause” is a calling beyond you alone that is in Service to Humanity as a Whole. It has a Deep sense of Self contained within it. Self Expression is a major Priority here. Friendships and Partnerships that are supportive of your Brilliant Self Expression, the chance to be Seen by Other will feel fulfilling. You are in charge of creating your Relational “Norm”, your own rules, your own ways of co-operating and co habitating. It is going to have elements of nothing like you’ve ever seen before. It’s OK :) Get used to being and being drawn to a little bit of “weird”. Nothing is off limits. Unconventional and non traditional relationship modeling suits you best. Examples range from Polyamory to preferring long term single life. A highly active social life or lots of alone time. As long as you feel Free within your framework. You get to decide. Leo is the Playful Artist, using the Self as a vehicle for Expression and Aquarius embodies the Autonomous Self, using it’s multifaceted view points, and perhaps, even the perpetual feeling of alienation to be in Service to Humanity at large. Leo has a need to Create and Be Seen for Creation and Aquarius has to embody their eccentric nature, holding a vision for the Future. Aquarians are well ahead of their time, but their Voice and Vision is much needed.

Creator of a New Foundation and Structure within which to exist in partnership. Leader in establishing more harmonious relations that match humanity’s current evolution. Tossing out the old concepts and creating the new! Be the Leader and Others will Follow. What is the “New” Tradition? The “New” ethics/guidebook of loving and successful partnership? That’s Your Role! You are ReBirthing and ReBuilding a New Tradition, a New Structure, a New Model to Uphold when it comes to matters of Relating in not only in Love, but in Friendship and Partnership, and Co-Working and Co-Operating.

Cancer is the nurturing and creative force that Births Life (any kind of living entity) itself. Cancer is constantly “Birthing” and “Mothering”. You can birth children, but you can also birth art, gardens, businesses, ideas, etc. Capricorn is the Leader of the Whole paving the way forward, the model of excellence within the structure of society. Relationships, Partnerships and Friendships in which conversations are deep and meaningful -discussing the truths of life with a sense of humility. Nothing is ever too serious! *Often times-when one feels like a “victim” it is because one has at one time in their life-past or present-been a victim. Compassionate self inquiry is a beautiful aid. Acknowledge that this was a quality in relationship/partnership at one point and is now not a part of your story in the present moving forward
Libra/Aries
Presenting as sweet, creative, confident, assertive, direct, independent, athleticism, self exploration, courage, bravery, peace maker, harmonizer, action oriented, instigator, initiator, diplomatic, sense of fairness and equality, balanced.
Relationships that are centered around each individual coming to a wholeness within themselves. Awareness of Who You Are and the ability to experience the balance of Compromise and Maintenance of Self as a separate unique Whole Individual. Taking joy in the the Journey of Knowing the Self and the Journey of Loving Others. Libra is the Ruler of the 7th House and is naturally at home in relation to others. Libra always sees every point of view, each possible outcome, abundant options and choices! It can be dizzying! And yet- it is their gift-the ability to create harmonious energy flow between people from different worlds. Libra takes a genuine interest in others and their walks of life and the shoes they have donned to get there. Libra in the 7th creates an environment ripe for an active social life with the impulse to engage and learn about others.
